I had a Christmas Eve buffet dinner booked.

ANA intercontinental Hotel Tokyo

My last hotel for this trip and a favourite. Good view of Fuji-san from my room.

Tokyo Bay

There is a park in front of the Hyatt Regency Tokyo Bay with sporting facilities and views of Tokyo Bay.

The area in the distance on the right is Tokyo's garbage land fill. They use anything that can't be recycled or burnt to slowly make a new island in Tokyo Bay. Methane from the breakdown of garbage is harvested and used as fuel.

Hyatt Regency Tokyo Bay

Staying at the Hyatt Regency Tokyo Bay. It is one of a bunch of new hotels that opened up in the Tokyo Disneyland area. Nice hotel. Has a great bar with the hotel's own label whiskey. That whiskey is actually a 16 year old Suntory Yamazaki single malt whiskey!

Tokyo Disneyland

Tokyo Disneyland was giving a discount on tickets if you are vaccinated. Was going for the Christmas parades but they got cancelled due to it being to windy.

Breakfast at my favourite Belgium bakery in Tokyo.

Shiba Park Hotel

The first time I stayed in Tokyo, it was at the Shiba Park Hotel. Back ten it was a mid range tourist hotel but over the COVID shut down they renovated into something unique. Originally two buildings they sold one and changed the remaining building into a book hotel by adding a library.

Therr are also reading books on each floor that used to hold vending machines but now are cosy reading areas.

Iron Chef Chen Kenichi's signature Mapo Tofu as a reasonably priced set meal (around $15)

Yokohama Christmas Market

Yokohama has a German style Christmas Market. German sausages and beer. Hot cinnamon apple drink. Roast beef skewer. Okay the wasabi on the roast beef isn't German. Also selling northern European goods.

This was an interesting display.

Musical Christmas tree

The other Shopping mall had a Christmas tree with keyboard attached. Yes you can lay songs with your feet.

Harry Potter Christmas tree

One of the shopping malls near where I am staying has this Harry Potter themed Christmas tree.

Lunch on Yokohama

Grabbed lunch from Shake Shack, a western style burger place.

Kamakura Breakfast

Breakfast in Kamakura before heading to Yokohama.

Decided to have dinner at the hotel as they were having a Christmas Snow Crab French dinner.

Kamakura

My hotel is on the coast just outside of Kamakura. Nice view.

Off to Kamakura

On the Shinkansen to Yokohama from Nagoya, then local train down to Kamakura on the coast. Nice clear day.
